Professional-Grade Zinc Primer for Active Corrosion Protection

A professional zinc-rich primer delivering active, cathodic corrosion protection certified to DIN 50021 standard. With over 98.5% zinc content in pigments and 92% in the dry film, it performs as a true cold galvanising coating - ideal for re-galvanising welding and cutting points, repairing damaged galvanised surfaces, and providing long-term rust and salt protection on bare steel.

Certified Active Corrosion Protection

Passes the salt spray test at 480 hours to DIN SS-50021 standard, delivering proven long-term defence against rust and salt corrosion. The high zinc loading provides cathodic (sacrificial) protection - actively defending the steel beneath rather than just forming a barrier.

True Cold Galvanising Performance

Zinc content exceeds 98.5% in pigments and 92% in the dry film, meeting the benchmark for genuine cold galvanising rather than decorative zinc-effect coatings. Ideal for restoring galvanised protection at welding and cutting points where heat has destroyed the original coating.

Weldable & Overpaintable

Can be spot welded even when dry, allowing continued fabrication work without removing the primer. The smooth, pore-free film is fully overpaintable, making it a reliable base coat for topcoats, chassis paints, and protective finishes.

High Temperature Stability

Temperature resistant up to +600 C, suitable for exhaust components, heat-affected zones, and any application where standard primers would break down.

Key Applications

  • Re-galvanising welding and cutting points
  • Repairing damaged galvanised surfaces
  • Bare steel fabrication and chassis work
  • Exhaust brackets and heat-exposed components
  • Marine and coastal steel protection
  • Agricultural and industrial equipment

Technical Specifications

  • Zinc content: over 98.5% in pigments, over 92% in dry film
  • Active corrosion protection certified to DIN 50021
  • Salt spray test: 480 hours to DIN SS-50021
  • Temperature resistance: up to +600 C
  • Coverage: 1.7 sqm at 30 m dry layer thickness
  • Spot weldable when dry
  • Smooth, pore-free, overpaintable film
  • 400ml aerosol

Essential for fabricators, welders, panel beaters, chassis builders, marine engineers, and industrial maintenance teams where certified corrosion protection and weldability are non-negotiable.

Application Tip: For best adhesion and maximum corrosion protection, apply to clean, dry, rust-free steel. Shake the can thoroughly before use to fully suspend the zinc particles, and apply in thin, even coats - heavy single coats can trap solvents and reduce the protective zinc loading in the final film.
