Bright Zinc Coating Spray for Hot-Dipped Galvanised Repair
A professional bright zinc spray formulated to match the appearance of hot-dipped galvanising, delivering active corrosion protection certified to DIN 50021. With over 98% zinc in pigments and an approx. 70% zinc dry film, it's purpose-built for repairing damaged hot-dipped galvanised surfaces while maintaining a consistent, weather-resistant finish.
Hot-Dip Matched Finish
Unlike standard zinc primers with a flat grey appearance, this bright zinc coating replicates the colour and tone of hot-dipped galvanising - making it the ideal choice for aftertreatment of damaged hot-dipped galvanised parts where visual continuity matters alongside corrosion protection.
Certified Corrosion Resistance
Passes the salt spray test at 528 hours to DIN 20021 standard, delivering proven active defence against rust and salt. The high zinc pigment loading provides cathodic protection, actively sacrificing itself to protect the underlying steel.
Weldable & Overpaintable
Can be spot welded, allowing continued fabrication after application. Overpaintable with commercially available plastic resin paint systems, though a test spray is recommended to confirm compatibility.
High Temperature Stability
Temperature resistant up to +400 C, suitable for heat-affected components and fabrications subject to elevated operating conditions.
Key Applications
- Aftertreatment of damaged hot-dipped galvanised parts
- Repair of welding and cutting points on galvanised steel
- Fencing, gates, and outdoor metalwork
- Trailer and chassis repairs
- Marine and agricultural steelwork
- Industrial equipment touch-ups
Technical Specifications
- Zinc content: over 98% in pigments, approx. 70% in dry film
- Active corrosion protection certified to DIN 50021
- Salt spray test: 528 hours to DIN 20021
- Temperature resistance: up to +400 C
- Bright, hot-dip matched finish
- Spot weldable
- Overpaintable with plastic resin paint systems (test first)
- 400ml aerosol
Limitations
- Not suitable for over-laying with fillers
- Not suitable as undercoat for PU, MS-polymer, or hybrid sealing compounds
Essential for fabricators, fencing installers, trailer builders, marine engineers, and maintenance teams working with hot-dipped galvanised steel where matching the original finish is as important as corrosion protection.
Application Tip: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of grease and rust before application. Shake the aerosol vigorously for approximately 2 minutes after the mixing ball is heard to fully suspend the zinc particles. Apply using a cross-spray pattern from 20-30cm - one coat is usually sufficient, but allow 5 minutes between coats if additional coverage is needed.
