Why Graphite Makes the Difference
Most penetrating sprays flash off and leave nothing behind. Black Magic carries graphite, a dry lubricant that stays in the thread once the solvent has gone.
That gives you two things at once. Extreme pressure resistance while you're actually breaking the fastener loose, and long-term dry lubrication afterwards, so the joint doesn't seize solid again next time someone goes near it. The film also keeps protecting against humidity, moisture and salt water, which matters on coastal vehicles, boat trailers and anything that lives outdoors.
It Creeps Into the Thread, Not Just Over It
The formula is built to travel. It wicks along the thread and into the gap between the fastener and the housing, the places a heavier lubricant just sits on top of. Getting underneath the corrosion is what separates a real penetrant from a general-purpose spray.
On a seized exhaust stud or a rusted caliper bolt, that's the difference between a job finished and a snapped fastener you now have to drill out.
A Spray Head That Doesn't Waste Your Product
The safety head uses a ball valve, so it won't actuate by accident in the toolbox or rolling around the back of the ute. No half-empty cans, no black graphite sprayed across the inside of your tool drawer.

How to Use It
- Brush away loose rust, dirt and scale so the spray can reach the thread.
- Spray directly onto the fastener and the surrounding join.
- Give it time to creep, a few minutes on light corrosion, longer on a badly seized fastener. Patience here is what saves broken bolts.
- If it hasn't moved, reapply and wait again. Working the fastener back and forth in small movements helps draw the penetrant deeper.

Two different jobs, often confused. Black Magic S411 frees a fastener that won't move. Rust Off Turbo Power S409 removes rust from a surface. If the bolt is stuck, reach for Black Magic. If the panel, tool or component is rusty, reach for Rust Off.
